Founders Workshop Series

🚀Founders Workshop - Turning Ideas into Investment
As part of the XLerate program, Tulip Ventures and ASIF Ventures hosted a dedicated Founders Workshop aimed at equipping early-stage entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to navigate the funding landscape.
Led by Bas Scheele, Managing Partner at torq.partners | Benelux, the session provided student founders with a deep dive into the realities of startup financing, from bootstrapping and angel investment to venture capital and growth funding.
Bas shared hands-on insights drawn from his experience advising startups and scaleups on fundraising, M&A, and investor readiness. Rather than abstract theory, the workshop focused on practical strategies: how to build financial transparency, prepare for investor meetings, and identify the right funding path based on a company’s stage and vision.
The atmosphere was highly interactive, with founders encouraged to ask questions, share their funding challenges, and receive tailored advice. For many participants, it was their first time discussing topics such as valuation, equity structure, and investor expectations - all crucial elements in taking an idea from concept to company.
🌱 The Founders Workshop was more than just a lecture; it was a reality check and roadmap for students preparing to raise capital. It perfectly reflected Tulip Ventures’ and ASIF’s shared mission: empowering student entrepreneurs with the tools to act, grow, and lead the next wave of innovation.
