Tulip's Thesis

Tulip Ventures is the startup student association and go-to hub for aspiring (tech) entrepreneurs at the University of Amsterdam. We are a new kind of entrepreneurship society committed to helping students join the startup industry by creating connections between people and sharing knowledge through our events, content, programs, and community. We believe in the power of startups to bring life-changing technology and innovation into the hands of the many.

What We Do

Community

Programs

We design experiences that bring students closer to the startup world: from founder dinners and fireside chats to hackathons and casual meets. Our goal is to spark inspiration, share real stories from entrepreneurs, and create spaces where meaningful connections naturally happen.

Events

We run hands-on programs that help students and recent graduates take their first real steps in startups. Whether it’s finding a cofounder, validating an idea, or building your first venture, our programs accelerate your journey and surround you with ambitious peers who push you further.

We believe startups are not built in classrooms. That’s why we’ve created a tight-knit network where like-minded students passionate about startups can meet, collaborate, and grow together. Whether you’re just curious or already building, you’ll find people here who share your ambition.

FAQ

Do you invest in startups? Tulip Ventures does not make investments. We support founders even before they become founders with our events and community, and through our programs such as Tulip Venture Builder and XLerate. If you are looking for investment, check our partners ASIF Ventures or 3xA.

I am not a student a student anymore, can I become a member? While you can join Tulip's events, our community and memberships are tailored to students only.

I am not a student at UvA, can I become a member? Tulip Ventures is Amsterdam's startup student association. As long as you are based here, you are more than welcome to join!
